The path of the extraordinary metaphysician

by Oct 24, 2018

In the Twelfth Blessing the Master Jesus says:

“For verily, do I say unto you, that the greatest one in these days is he who sacrifices himself—his bliss and the whole of his energy—for the benefit of his brother.”

It is a fitting introduction to the sobering call to action we are given by Master of Yoga Dr George King in this week’s extract.

He tells us, in no uncertain terms, that the path to spiritual greatness is through spiritual service!

“So therefore, we do have to take the whole teachings; be prepared to split ourselves up between action for the outside world and, when we have the time, journey within. It’s difficult. It’s not popular. But it’s the way to become not an ordinary person, not an ordinary metaphysician, but a great one.

“It’s the difference between a Jesus and one of those foolish yogis now sitting somewhere in India, trying to gain enlightenment. Maybe after twenty years he can walk on the waters.

“Walk on the waters – what good is it? What good is it to lay on a bed of nails? This is how little children start.

“But to be able to say that, ‘I helped to stop a disease wave on Earth.’ To be able to say that, ‘I helped to build a vast machine. I was one of those people who helped in the re-introduction of a vast new science to Earth, so that power could be sent from one side of the Earth to the other in a fraction.’ This is worth being able to say.

“And when the chips are down to be counted by the Lord of Karma, I know what position I’d rather be in, and, I think, so do you.”
