A Christmas thought to last 365 days a year
In this week’s extract, Master of Yoga Dr George King offers us a sobering but extremely uplifting reminder of what we celebrate at Christmas – a thought to last 365 days a year!

“So the celebration should be even greater than it is.
“We all know what’s happened to Christmas, unfortunately. It’s become a time where shops sell more than ever before, people eat more than ever before and they drink more than ever before.
“However, we must always keep the spiritual thought uppermost in our minds during this Christmas time as to what we are doing and why we are doing it.
“Because when we celebrate a birth on Earth of a being as great as Jesus, we also celebrate even greater beings who performed the manipulation; who listened to the demand of Babaji and the Spiritual Hierarchy of Earth; listened to the needs of mankind; heard the souls of mankind crying out for some enlightenment, and these beings made arrangements that this need, as it existed, must be met and it was met by the Lord Jesus.
“And we should never, ever, but ever forget that.
“Remember a sentient being is capable of thought for 365 days a year, and not just on December 25th.
“And if you would pay a fraction of the deference to this most honorable, most enlightened, most gracious, most wonderful, most kind, most uplifting being – Jesus, then you would celebrate in your prayers his birth for 365 days per year and not just one.
“I do.
“Although in nowise a saint, and probably never will be a saint; I can still never forget the greatness of this being. Probably, it’s a little bit easier for me to do it than it is for you, because I have had more intimate contact with the Being.”
