“An Ascended Master, if he wished, could literally do this. He could think and blow a mountain in half. I mean, literally do that.

“If for some reason or other it was absolutely essential to blow Mt. Everest or something like, well, not Everest, possibly, but one of the mountains in the Himalayas, if it was necessary to blow that up, an Ascended Master could think and blow it up, physically, you see.

“He’s as great as that. That’s why…that’s one reason, by the way, you won’t go through the Initiation of Ascension until you deserve it, because of the tremendous powers you have, and you must prove that you can control these powers or you could wreck a world. You could easily control a world.

“This comic business you know about Superman is not so silly when you come to look at it.

“An Ascended Master is virtually a super man and you could fire a bullet at him, and it would probably flatten out on his flesh.

“Or if it passed right through him, it wouldn’t do him any damage whatsoever. He is a super man and the person who writes that comic strip is not so silly, really.

“In fact, in a strange kind of a way, they’re doing quite a good job—in a very strange kind of a way—because they’re causing a lot of people to read these things about this man who can’t be killed, and so on and so on. Well, an Ascended Master is like that.

“He would not probably do some of the things that Superman is reported to be doing but, nevertheless, he is like that, inasmuch even time is no barrier to him.

“He can travel backwards or forwards through time, if he wishes, as well as through space.

“You see an Ascended Master can sit in the middle of a blast furnace without being hot. In other words, he has complete and absolute control of his environment if he wants to have it.
