Some light on the difference between a real space contact and a fake
There have been many claims made by mediums and psychics who maintain they are in contact with extraterrestrial intelligences. Many of these are false. Some of these people may be completely sincere, but deluded or misled in one way or another. Others are outright frauds. In either case, it is still up to you to determine what is real and what is fake, so that you can continue to progress on the spiritual path. In this week’s extract, Master of Yoga Dr. George King offers a few helpful pointers you can use to protect yourself from years – possibly even lives – of wasted effort.

“Well, I can go on and on and on and on and on and on forever about this. You know what Aetherius says? Aetherius has given a little clue – he’s given many clues – on his great talk about discrimination.
“I have cost myself maybe hundreds of thousands of dollars by talking about discrimination in the way I have from coast to coast in this country.
“Because people don’t want to hear it. They don’t like to hear it. They want to hear me tell them lies and say: ‘All the stuff you read is true.’
“Well, I never will say this because it isn’t true.
“So, incorrect information is given by the lower intelligences; by the clever intelligences, but nevertheless the wicked ones. Some of you have seen demonstrations of this. Some of you have read supposed messages from other planets where they talk about ‘we are of the fourth dimension’ for instance. And you’ve been told to tear those books up and throw them away, whether everything else is right in them or not, don’t take a chance, because no space intelligence has ever made that statement to Earth. Not ever! I know. Such a statement would be made by a lower intelligence who was giving himself the name of such and such spaceman—oh yes, oh yes.
“You have read messages, I’m sure, purporting to come from this Master, that Master and the other Master, and even the basic occultism in those messages isn’t right. It doesn’t fit in with the pattern of the known ancient wisdom, never mind anything else. It doesn’t even recognize Buddha, The Bhagavad Gita and The Upanishads, Confucius and Lao Tzu. But it talks a lot of gooey, sticky nonsense about Jesus, which isn’t true anyway.
