What is reality?
The Master Jesus tells us in the Twelfth Blessing:
BLESSED IS THE ABSOLUTE—IN ALL THE WONDROUS GLORY
OF ITS MANIFESTATION.
IN ALL THE UNCHANGEABILITY OF ITS REALITY.
IN ALL THE COMPLETE IMMOBILITY OF ITS SILENT SELF.
Dr. King told a beautiful little story about the nature of God:
One of the students of the Lord Buddha said to the Lord Buddha one day: “My Lord, what is reality?”
The Lord Buddha didn’t answer.
He tried again: “My Lord, I ask you for a second time, what is reality?”
The Lord Buddha was still silent.
And the student, getting a little bit annoyed by such treatment, said “My Lord, I ask you for a third time, tell me what is reality?”
The Lord Buddha said: “I have answered you twice.”
Reality is unchangeable – it simply is, and the essence of reality is – silence.
It cannot be fully described by anyone in any way, except – silence!
