It is easy to be focused this time of year around materialism. People are often shopping for gifts, receiving bounuses, etc. 

But Dr. George King reminded us in 1978 to focus on the spiritual side of Christmas:

“…We must always keep the spiritual thought uppermost in our minds, during this Christmas time, as to what we are doing and why we are doing it. 

“Because when we celebrate a birth on Earth of a being as great as Jesus, we also celebrate even greater beings who performed the manipulation: who listened to the demand of Babaji and the Spiritual Hierarchy of Earth, listened to the needs of mankind, heard the souls of mankind crying out for some enlightenment. And these beings made arrangements that this need—as it existed—must be met: and it was met by the Lord Jesus.”
