A personal and global practice
In an address given in 1964, Master of Yoga Dr. George King said that when we come together for a Service of The Twelve Blessings we come to worship, to cleanse ourselves, to heighten consciousness and to send out power. He then said:
“All these things demonstrate a certain interest, a certain vitality. They should demonstrate a higher part of you. They should demonstrate a willingness on your part to raise yourself above your mundane aspects to get into the higher aspects. You know, if you say, or repeat, any prayers in this book, with the conviction, with the dynamic conviction that you should do, you will feel, personally, great power yourself. And not only that, you will send this power out, not only through Los Angeles, but in some degree, through the world.”
This explains why practicing The Twelve Blessings is not just a personal practice for ourselves but can also be a powerful way to help the world.
